-
Dull knives are dangerous! They slip on food surfaces instead of cutting like you'd expect, causing more injuries than sharp knives.
Besides being safer, sharp knives are more enjoyable to use. Regular sharpening ensures your knives perform optimally.

Choosing to sharpen your existing knives instead of buying new knives is a smart, economical, and eco-friendly decision. Here's why:
1. Cost-Effective: Sharpening your knives is significantly cheaper than purchasing new ones. You can essentially get a new knife for $10-$15, much cheaper than any decent knife.
2. Sustainability: Sharpening your knives reduces waste and minimizes your environmental impact. Knives may not all be recyclable.
3. Quality Maintenance: High-quality knives are designed to be sharpened and last for generations. Sharpening maintains the integrity and performance of your knives, ensuring they stay as good as new.
4. Convenience: Professional sharpening can be much more convenient, saving you time and effort.
5. Personal Attachment: We love our knives! Sharpening allows you to keep your trusted knives longer, preserving the comfort and familiarity they provide.
-
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee your blades will stay sharp for a certain period of time, as it all depends on usage and care.
With moderate use and careful attention, a sharp knife will last several months. Most home chefs find that sharpening every 6 months is required, at a minimum.
To keep your knife sharp longer, always keep the edge protected when not in use. Don't put knives in the sink with other dishes, in the dishwasher, or in a drawer where they will move around.
-
Because knives get dull, we recommend subscriptions to knife sharpening with service every 6 months. We make it fast, easy, and convenient to manage. Cancel, upgrade, downgrade your subscription at any time.
If you prefer one-time or as-needed sharpening, we offer that as well!
You can manage your orders through your online account. If you forget your password, you can reset it at any time via our website.
If you'd like more frequent sharpening (e.g., every 3 or 4 months), send us an email and we'll make it happen :)

Select appropriate abrasives and use them in the correct order

Our skilled crew of sharpeners primarily uses water-cooled diamond 💎 grindstones and other industrial abrasives. Water-cooling ensures the steel does not lose its hardness. We hone blades to perfection using a leather strop impregnated with either diamond paste or another polishing compound.
-
We can fix minor nicks as part of the sharpening process.
We do not repair bent knives, knives with significant chips, or damaged knife handles at this time.
-
Yes, please send us an email for bulk pricing if you are a business requiring more regular sharpening (e.g., restaurants, butchers, culinary schools, barber shop, etc.)
